Shri Kanyaka Nagari Sahakari Bank Ltd. was founded on 17th October 1989 under the visionary leadership of Dr. Vijay Sambashiv Ainchwar. Dr. Vijay Sambashiv Ainchwar was the Bank’s first Chairman, while Dr. Prafulla Tumakampant Bhaskarwar served as the first Vice-Chairman.
The founding members were individuals of profound and enduring ideals, strong faith, vision, optimism, and entrepreneurial spirit. Their commitment and foresight laid the foundation for the Bank’s growth and development.
The Bank was registered under the Maharashtra State Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 on 29th November 1982, vide Registration No. CHD/BNK/147. The Bank obtained its banking licence bearing Licence No. UBD/MAH/998P on 17th July 1989 and is governed by the applicable provisions of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (A.A.C.S.).
The Bank was also registered under the provisions of ISO 9001:2008 on 20th June 2010, reflecting its commitment to quality management and customer satisfaction.

The Bank’s area of operation extends across Chandrapur District and the adjoining districts of Wardha, Nagpur, Gadchiroli and Bhandara.
