About Shri Kanyaka Nagari Sahakari Bank Ltd.

Shri Kanyaka Nagari Sahakari Bank Ltd. was founded by the great visionary Dr. Vijay Sambashiv Ainchwar on 17th October 1989. Dr. Vijay Sambashiv Ainchwar was the first Chairman of the Bank, while Dr. Prafulla Tumakampant Bhaskarwar served as the first Vice-Chairman.

Both distinguished personalities were endowed with profound and enduring ideals, faith, vision, optimism and entrepreneurial skills, which laid a strong foundation for the growth and development of the Bank.

The Bank was registered under the Maharashtra State Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 on 29th November 1982, vide Registration No. CHD/BNK/147. The Bank obtained its banking licence bearing Licence No. UBD/MAH/998P on 17th July 1989 and is governed by the applicable provisions of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (AACS).

The Bank was also registered under the provisions of ISO 9001:2008 on 20th June 2010, reflecting its commitment towards quality management and customer satisfaction.
